Jon Winet • Director
Jon Winet is an intermedia artist, media producer and University of Iowa Public Policy Center Research Fellow, and University of Iowa School of Art & Art History Intermedia Program and International Programs professor emeritus.
He co-directs Alternating Currents, an artist-centered project that presents experimental performances and intermedia arts at the Albany Bulb and in the East Bay. He also leads Oxford to the Ballot Box, a public digital arts and humanities project that focuses on the voices of Mississippians and on voter engagement. The project hosted by the Yoknapatawpha Arts Council, Oxford, Mississippi with support from the Mississippi Humanities Council.
He is also now in preproduction on “Las Vegas Casino Carpets,” an exhibition and public programs project for the UNLV Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art. The project is scheduled to launch in FY 2024.
During Spring 2022 he is visiting faculty in the University of California, Berkeley History of Art Department, leading an undergraduate seminar, Contemporary Bay Area Arts and Artists.

Allen Spore, Associate Director
(2018-2021)
From 2015-17 Allen served as an AmeriCorps Vista assigned to the North Panola School District in Sardis, Mississippi. During this period, he gained a deep appreciation of the history and complexity of poverty, race and culture of Mississippi.
He was responsible for the development and implementation of programs to serve educational needs of high poverty students in coordination with resources at the University of Mississippi. He continues to work on the design, funding and implementation of these programs.
Allen is a documentary photographer. He graduated with an M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute. His work has been exhibited in California, Nevada and New York.
